We now want to hear your views on our council tax and budget approach to help our
elected councillors make the right, even if tough, decisions in agreeing a balanced
budget for 2022-2023.I wanted to alert you to the webpage where we published our budget consultation on
Thursday 25 November. You can find out more at www.norfolk.gov.uk/budget and
have your say using our online feedback form. Using our online feedback ensures
we have a clear record of your response and that your views are accurately
recorded.We appreciate that some residents may not have online access and people who are
unable to respond online can send us send their views in writing to:

Police – Security & Vigilance Message
POLICE ARE URGING PUBLIC TO INCREASE THEIR VIGILANCE AROUND HOME AND VEHICLE SECURITY
Police are urging the public to increase their vigilance around home and vehicle security with the darker nights.
To prevent the seasonal increase in burglaries and theft from motor vehicles, householders and motorists are asked to follow some simple crime prevention advice to keep their property safe.
Residents should avoid leaving their homes unlit in the evenings for example, as a house in darkness is more likely to attract the attention of burglars. Vehicles should also ideally be parked in a well-lit and secure place.
Making sure windows and doors are locked can be a deterrent for an intruder, as well as keeping valuables out of sight and away from letterboxes – or anywhere else that is easily accessible Many burglaries are opportunistic crimes, where offender has identified an open window or insecure door and easily let themselves into your home.
Those that live in an area previously targeted by thieves or those that are planning to increase their home security could consider installing smart technology such as a doorbell camera.
